Was reading a post this morning in the bus and found a article talking about the believe in fengshui and it usage.
A lots of people like to inter-relate the art of fengshui with religious and also to add in to the wrong believe, a lots of the master out there would like to tie in the art of fengshui with religious too.
So what is really fengshui and how does it affect our everyday life?
A long long long long time ago, there no such thing called fengshui (风水)there are only human and the nature. And in order for the human to live well and in comfort, they have to learn to live within the nature. However, everyone know that nature keep changing and changing keep creating a set of problem and issues to live in.
So human started to observe our surrounding, every movement of the wind, every movement of the sun and the moon create what we name now "Time" and "Season" " High Tide" " Low Tide" from there people start to note down the four season, the flow of wind, the raining season and even the time to give birth etc.
After almost 23 years in the studying of Fengshui, I can safely comment that fengshui is the study of nature and not of religious.
Then how come there are prayer and burning of joss stick etc. It is also part of nature. Every religious is just a different ways in which you communicate with the nature. For those who has engage my service before be it Taoism, Buddhism , Christian even Hindu. You should know the procedure of prayer that I use normally follow your different culture and different religious.
I observed the flow of natural air and wind and the usages of the direction. That is important as everyone of us belong to a different group of elements. If you are of fire you cannot be near to too much water, if you are of wood, you cannot be too near to fire etc etc.
So in conclusion, I would like to stress, Fengshui is not a superstitious art. It is how one can relate to the nature and communicate well with your surrounding. Therefore, everyone and every house is different as every combination of elements are different.
Cheers and thanks
